In the Irkutsk region, a man died during a fire that occurred due to the ignition of mining equipment. It is reported by RBC with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The man could not get out of the burning bathhouse in the village of Vvedenshchina, Shelekhovsky district, Irkutsk region.
A message about a fire in one of the sections of the village was received on the night of February 14. At the time of the arrival of rescuers, the bathhouse was completely engulfed in fire, the roof and ceiling collapsed, and a nearby car caught fire.
During the analysis of building structures, the deceased was found – the owner of the site. Mining equipment was located on the veranda of the bathhouse. “The day before, the owner brought and connected several more “machines,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
An employee who monitored the operation of the mining equipment said that he woke up at night from the sounds of a security and fire alarm and saw that the room was filling with smoke, and opening the door, he discovered the burning of the mining equipment. Having got out into the street, he began to shout to the owner, who spent the night on the attic floor, to jump down. But the man decided to leave in the usual way, although the exit was already cut off by smoke and fire.
It took about 30 minutes to put out the fire. Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations consider the “electrotechnical cause” of the fire to be the most probable.
