Iga ¦wiątek is still the clear leader of the WTA ranking. The Polish woman has 10,485 points and over the second Aryna Sabalenka – the winner of this year’s Australian Open – over four thousand points advantage. Linette is also high, on the fifth position (866 points) in the classification in the WTA Race ranking, which only takes into account the results from a given year. The top eight players will traditionally play at the end of the season in the WTA Finals.

The situation of Iga Świątek, who played only in the Australian Open this year, is much more difficult. A week ago, the Polish woman was classified in fifteenth place. Now it’s even worse, because the best tennis player has dropped as much as six places compared to the previous week. He is ranked 21st with 366 points. Swiatek loses 215 points to China’s Lin Zhu, who is in eighth place, and as many as 2,104 points to Aryna Sabalenka, who is leading in the ranking. Right behind the Belarusian are Jelena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, 1456 points) and the Swiss Belinda Bencic (1206). In fourth place is Belarusian Victoria Azarenka (882). Only in 33rd place is the vice-leader of the WTA world ranking, Tunisian Ons Jabeur (255).
