Kamil Stoch spent the last weekend at home and from the TV screen he could watch the jumps of his colleagues in Lake Placid. Everything has to do with the decision made by Thomas Thurnbichler after the World Cup competition in Willingen. In them, Kamil Stoch took 25th place, and in the second one he did not even make it to the first series. This made the 35-year-old take time off from the coach. – I believe that a moment of rest, breathing, calm down will have a really positive effect. It’s not like I forgot how to jump. I was in the same situation last year and I hoped it would never happen again – said Kamil Stoch after the competition in Willingen, referring to the break that took place before the Beijing Olympics.
Kamil Stoch “returned to the roots”. “Joy of a child” – comment Internet users
Although Stoch got time for himself to rest, he is not idle. In social media, the jumper showed that he built a small hill in front of his own house. “As a child in winter, I spent every free moment building a hill behind the house and jumping on cross-country skis. Today I checked if I could still do it,” Kamil Stoch wrote in his Instagram account.
Then the jumper published a post signed “back to the roots”, in which he showed the built mini-jump and the jump he made on it.
The post received a very warm response from fans. “And tick 20 points!”, “Landing on a flat, and then telemark”, “The joy of a child! Fun is something that dissolves all the weight, the baggage that you carried unnecessarily” – these are some of the comments that can be found under the short material published by Kamil Stoch.
