In the decisive series, Żyła flew a distance of 127.5 meters, which was the best result in this group. Kubacki did not disappoint either, and the jump on 127 meters sealed the historic victory of the Poles. The second place was taken by the Austrians (13.2 points behind), and the podium was completed by the Japanese (24.1 points behind).
Thanks to the victory, Żyła and Kubacki also gained valuable 200 points for the Nations Cup classification. This allowed the Poles to keep the 3rd place and escape the Slovenes chasing them, but also to make up for some losses to the leaders. At the moment, Polish jumpers have won a total of 3394 points. The Austrians maintained a certain lead (4189 points), and the second place is taken by the Norwegians (3605 points).
