The hexagonal final of the Sub-20 South American Championship ends this Sunday with the decisive clash between Brazil e Uruguay. At 8:30 pm (Brasília time), the ball rolls at El Campín Stadium, in Bogotá, Colombia, for the match that will define the champion of the tournament.
In the last round, the Brazilian team faced Colombia and, even with one more player for most of the second half, it came out with a goalless draw. Uruguay, on the other hand, played and won, by 4-1 against Venezuela. The results made the Uruguayans take the lead, with 12 points, two more than the Brazilians.
In this scenario, just one victory is enough for Brazil to become champion of the U-20 South American Championship. For Uruguay, only a draw is needed. Regardless of the results of the last round, both teams are already classified for the World Championship, which will be held later this year, in Indonesia.
Brazil may have an important casualty for this Sunday’s duel. Midfielder Marlon Gomes, absolute starter on the team, left the pitch crying after feeling a thigh injury.
Classified! 🤩✅
The victory of the Brazilian team by 2-0 over Paraguay guaranteed Canarinho in the U-20 World Cup, to be played in May, in Indonesia.

A Colombia also secured a spot at the Worlds. The team says goodbye against Venezuela, which won the fourth and final spot. Already Ecuador e Paraguay make a direct confrontation. Whoever wins is rooting for a stumble by Venezuela.
