Russian forward Evgeni Malkin is one of the top 50 scorers in NHL history

Russian forward “Pittsburgh Penguins” Evgeni Malkin entered the top 50 scorers in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported on the official website of the organization.

During the confrontation with the Anaheim Ducks, the forward made two assists. Thus, he reached the mark of 1200 points on the system “goal plus assist” for a career in the league and caught up in this indicator with the Canadian Dino Sissarelli. The Russian was recognized as the second star of this meeting.

It took Malkin 1032 matches to score 1200 points. Among current NHL players, only Canadian Sidney Crosby, also playing for Pittsburgh, achieved this faster. In third place is Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin.

On December 31, Malkin took second place in the list of the best Russian NHL scorers. The first line of the rating is held by Ovechkin, who has 1464 points (812 goals and 652 assists).

Malkin has been playing in the NHL since 2006. Throughout his career, he has played for Pittsburgh. Together with the team, the Russian won the Stanley Cup three times.
