Ex-player of the German national team Kevin Kuranyi criticized the deprivation of clubs from Russia of European competitions
Former player of Moscow Dynamo and the German national team Kevin Kuranyi criticized the decision of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to remove Russian clubs from participation in European competitions. It is reported by “Match TV”.
“Football is a sport for everyone,” said the player. He added that he misses the clubs from Russia, which are deprived of the opportunity to play on the international stage.
On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and UEFA excluded Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. The teams do not play in European competitions, and the Russian team has lost the opportunity to compete for reaching the finals of the 2022 World Cup.
Kuranyi played for Dynamo from 2010 to 2015. As part of the German national team, the striker scored 19 goals in 52 matches.
