The best opportunity of the Selection happened with 43 minutes of rolling ball. After a free kick into the area, Andrey Santos appeared between the defenders and headed towards the goal, but stopped in the Colombian goalkeeper. On the rebound, the defensive midfielder managed to finish with his feet, but sent it over the crossbar and the first half ended with the score zero.

As the goalkeeper was leaving the penalty area, he bumped into Alexis Manyoma, who fell to the ground, and a penalty was awarded. Captain Gustavo Puerta went for the kick and hit the left corner, but the shot was very weak and the Brazilian goalkeeper fell to defend with ease.

Then, at 14, Colombia had a player expelled. Jhojan Torres took the lead from Andrey Santos and left his arm in the Brazilian’s face. As there was already yellow, the player ended up taking the red one. With one more man, Brazil now has more space to play.
