On the other hand, Chaves has 25 points, in eighth place in the Portuguese Championship. The visitors ended a sequence of five matches without a win in the last round, with a victory over Marítimo, by 2 to 1. In the period, however, they lost only once, by 2 to 1, against Vitória de Guimarães. The team seeks to continue with the good moment to try to get closer to the top positions.
This season, the teams have already met twice. In the first of them, they drew 1-1, for the first round of the Portuguese Championship. In the second meeting they tied again, this time by 2 to 2. In these clashes there were three expulsions, two for Chaves, one in each match, and one for Vizela, in the first duel.
