Real Madrid and Al Hilal will meet in the Club World Cup final that is being disputed in Morocco. Both teams will fight for the title on Sunday, February 12. Instead, Flamengo and Al Ahly will play for third and fourth place.
In the second semifinal that was played this Wednesday, February 8, Real Madrid beat Al Ahly 4-1, but suffered more than necessary to obtain the ticket for the final. Ancelotti’s men went ahead with a goal scored by Vinicius (0-1) in minute 42, and in the first minute of the second part (46) Fede Valverde made it 0-2 on the scoreboard.
It seemed that everything was decided, but in minute 65 Maaloul closed the gap (1-2) after scoring a penalty. Later, the Egyptian team went on the attack and put their rival in trouble. However, Al Ahly forgave too much in front of the goal defended by Lunin.
Real Madrid overcame their bad moment of the game and was able to decide in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper Elshenawy saved the maximum penalty launched by Modric. Even so, in extra time the Madrid team rounded off their victory with goals from Rodrigo (1-3) and Arrivals (1-4) at minutes 92 and 98 respectively.

Al Hilal, the big surprise
Tuesday February 7 Al Hilal gave the bell by eliminating Flamengo 2-3 in the first semifinal of the championship and qualify for the final.
A penalty shot converted by Al-Dawsari opened the scoring (0-1) in minute 4, but a quarter of an hour later Flamengo equalized through Pedro Guilherme Abreu dos Santos (1-1). Before the break, in the extension of the first half, the referee awarded a penalty in favor of Al Hilal and Flamengo was left with ten after Gerson Santos da Silva saw the second yellow card and was sent off. Al-Dawsari scored again from a penalty (1-2).
After the restart, specifically in the 70th minute, the Saudi Arabian team put victory on track with a goal from Luciano Vietto (1-3). The match was very uphill for Flamengo, but the Brazilian team closed the gap thanks to another goal from Pedro Guilherme Abreu dos Santos (2-3). However, Flamengo’s second goal came in the 91st minute, and it was too late. In the end, Al Hilal took the win and went to the final.
