During his career, Adam Bratanic played for Horsovsky Tyn, but by far his best moments were in TJ Jiskra Domazlice, which currently plays in the third Czech league. In addition, the Plzeň area club is in third place with 31 points, just a point behind leaders Bohemians Praga B. Bratanic has played six games this season, helped win four of them and kept two clean sheets. The club announced a great tragedy.
The Czech goalkeeper has died. He orphaned an unborn child. “He lost a short and hard fight”
Jiskra Domazlice informed in an official announcement about the death of Adam Bratanic at the age of 33. “There are some news you don’t want to hear, let alone write about. But sometimes you have no choice. The news of Adam’s death has come out. His passing is a great tragedy for his family, especially at a time when in the coming weeks he expected birth of another child. Unfortunately, Adam lost his short and hard fight,” wrote Jaroslav Tichacek, president of Jiskra.
It turns out that Adam Bratanic struggled with severe pneumonia, and then there was a brain hemorrhage. “Jiskra loses a great footballer and friend who went down in the club’s history. I’ve been watching his football and professional steps from the very beginning. My condolences to his family. It’s a great loss for loved ones, friends and the club,” added President Tichacek. Bratanic scored a lot of goals from penalties for Jiskra Domazlice, and the club remembers his goal the most in autumn 2013, when he scored a goal from 80 meters in a match against FC Rokycany B (6: 3).
Jiskra Domazlice is struggling with another tragedy in recent years. At the beginning of the 2018/2019 season, Tomas Sova died in a car accident in Nepomuk, who also orphaned his two-month-old son.
