Rayo Vallecano wins Almería and enters the G6 of the Spanish Championship

This Monday, Rayo Vallecano received and beat Almería by 2-0, for the 20th round of the Spanish Championship. Rodrigo Ely (against) and Álvaro Garcia scored the goals of the duel in the second stage.

With the victory, Rayo Vallecano reaches 32 points and reaches fifth place in the Spanish Championship, entering the qualification zone for the Europa League. Almería, on the other hand, has 22 points – three more than the first team in the relegation zone – and in 14th position.

Rayo Vallecano’s next match in La Liga is against Getafe, away from home, on Sunday, at 10 am (Brasília time). Almería will face Real Betis at home, on Saturday, at 12:15 pm, also for the Spanish Championship.

Nine minutes into the second half, Rayo Vallecano finally opened the scoring with an own goal by Rodrigo Ely after a corner kick. The home team began to loosen up more with the favorable score and began to dominate the actions. Consequently, Álvaro García took advantage of one of the chances, doubled the scoring in the 18th minute of the final stage and closed the scoring at Estadio de Vallecas.
