In addition to the French striker and the Belgian goalkeeper, Real Madrid will not be able to count on Militão, Hazard, Mendy and Lucas Vásquez. Those last four absences are definitely out of the Club World Cup and will stay in Madrid to recover from injuries.
In the last game before leaving for Rabat, in Morocco, the merengue team was defeated by Real Mallorca away from home, by Spanish Championship. Coach Carlo Ancelotti no longer had the six injured players at his disposal and improvised in various sectors.
For example, the Real Madrid coach started the match with the Brazilian Rodrygo replacing Karim Benzema and Eduardo Camavinga at left-back, replacing his French compatriot Mendy.
This Wednesday, Real Madrid faces Al Ahly, from Egypt, in the semifinal of the Club World Cup, starting at 4 pm (BrasÃlia time). If the Meringue team defeats the Egyptians, they will face the winner of the confrontation between Flamengo and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the final.
Despite the absences, the list released by Real Madrid shows important returns. Alaba and Tchouameni are back from injury and will be available to Ancelotti. Austrian defender David Alaba, including, should start as a starter at left-back.
