Russian Alexander Kerzhakov will become the head coach of the Cypriot club “Karmiotissa”
Former football player of the Russian national team Alexander Kerzhakov will become the head coach of the Cypriot club Karmiotissa. The words of the technical director of the team, Antonis Antoniou, are quoted by Sport24.
“Yes it’s true. We are very pleased that Karmiotissa has acquired such a specialist,” Antoniou said. The functionary added that a formal agreement would be signed with the Russian as soon as he arrived in Cyprus.
Earlier it was reported that Kerzhakov was offered to head the Moldavian Sheriff. The Russian refused to sign the contract.
Kerzhakov is a three-time Russian champion with Zenit and the top scorer of the national team. After retiring in the summer of 2017, he coached the Tom and Nizhny Novgorod clubs, as well as the Russian youth team.
