Adam Ma³ysz’s great rival again with World Cup points. A quarter of a century on the hill!

Almost exactly 21 years ago Simon Amman and Adam Ma³ysz competed for medals at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The anonymous 20-year-old Swiss turned out to be better than Ahonen, Schmitt or Ma³ysz and won two gold medals. The above mentioned more often can be as experts in TV studios, and Amman is still jumping.

Simon Amman’s Point Sunday in Willingen. He jumped in the times of Malysz, he still scores

Sunday at the Muehlenkopfschanze started with a successful qualifying by Simon Ammann. The 41-year-old jumped 125.5 meters, which was the 22nd result of the qualifying series. He flew a bit shorter in the first competition series, in which he landed on 123 meters, but it was enough for him to advance to the final. In the second round Ammann jumped 114 meters, which meant that he fell down in the standings and finished the competition in 28th place.

Thus, after more than 10 months, the legendary jumper scored points in the World Cup. The most recent was during the flights in Oberstdorf last season. 28th place is already quite a feat considering his age.
