Another weekend of ski jumping is planned in the American Lake Placid. There will be two individual competitions and a duo competition. Two jumpers from each of the registered nations will take part in it. All three competitions will be held on a 128 meter hill. The record holder of the facility is the Norwegian Veli-Matti Lindstrom, who in February 2002 reached 135.5 meters. The World Cup returns to the United States for the first time for 2004 and the Park City competition. Lake Placid, on the other hand, hosted the series for the last time in 1990.
The Lake Placid World Cup weekend begins on Friday, February 10. Two training sessions and qualifications for Saturday’s competitions are planned for the competitors. They will take place at 23:00 Polish time. On Saturday, February 11, competitors will have a trial series before the competition and the actual competition at 16:00. Seven hours later, an unusual duet competition was scheduled. On Sunday, February 12 at 14:30, the competitors will start in the classifications for the second individual competition. Its start is scheduled for 16:00.
