Bayern thrash Wolfsburg to clinch first Bundesliga win of the year

This Sunday, the Bayern Munchen thrashed Wolfsburg 4-2, in a match valid for the 19th round of the German Championship, at the Volkswagen Arena, and won his first victory of the year in the tournament. Coman (2), Muller and Jamal Musiala scored for Bayern, while Jakub Kaminski and Mattias Svanberg scored for the hosts.

With the result, Bayern Munich reached 40 points and regained the leadership of Alemão, which was with Union Berlin, which has one point less and has already played in the round. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, remains in sixth place, with 29 points.

The game

Bayern Munich did not take notice of the hosts in the first stage. After just eight minutes, Kingsley Coman opened the scoring for the visitors after crossing in the area, looking for Thomas Muller. The attacker did not reach the ball, which kept its trajectory and went into the goal.

Five minutes later, the Portuguese defender João Cancelo, who made his debut in Alemão, crossed for Coman, who hit the first time to increase the visitors’ advantage. At 18, with a free kick, Kimmich played in the area and Muller headed in to score Bayern’s third goal.

In the 30th minute, Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac pulled Maxence Lacroix on for Jakub Kaminski, who, on the 43rd minute, scored for the hosts, assisted by Brazilian Paulo Otávio.

Already in the second stage, at 8 minutes, Kimmich received the second yellow and was expelled from the match. Despite having one less, at 28, Bayern extended their advantage with Jamal Musiala, who made a beautiful individual play and kicked in the corner of the goal by Koen Casteels.
