At the beginning of last year, a scandal broke out in American snowboarding. . ESPN later reported that Foley had been accused of sexual abuse by another snowboarder.

American snowboarders filed a lawsuit against coach Foley. Mia is molested

Howard Jacobs, Foley’s attorney, told USA Today Sports that the allegations against his client were true. Nevertheless, the matter does not end there. ESPN recently reported that Callan Chythlook-Sifsof, Rosey Fletcher and Erin O’Malley have filed a lawsuit against the former coach. He was charged with “extortion of sexual acts by force, manipulation, emotional abuse and intimidation.”

Fletcher revealed that Foley sexually assaulted her when she was only 19 years old. Miao is the site of the USA team camp and the Olympics. – As a woman and mother of an 11-year-old daughter, this is my moral duty. There’s nothing to be ashamed of here. I’m a victim,” she told the Los Angeles Times.

In turn, O’Malley admitted in the lawsuit that she was “sexually assaulted and harassed by Foley, who was an abuse of power.” She also added that the trainer abused her physically and mentally, and when she was 15, sexually assaulted her in an elevator in the presence of Fletcher. Foley was also to comment on O’Malley’s weight, which later caused her to develop an eating disorder that affected her career. “Foley started groping Erin and trying to kiss her without her consent,” Fletcher said, as quoted by ESPN.

However, this is not the end, because journalists report that a lawsuit against Foley was also filed by former employee of the federation Lindsey Nikola. She claims that the trainer forces her to take nude pictures and sexually assaulted her in a hotel room.

Former snowboarders believe that governing bodies have covered up alleged abuses. The matter was repeatedly reported to the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the sports federation. “For nearly two decades, the coaches and directors of both organizations have allowed Foley to behave like this, refused to act, and helped cover up his actions, thus allowing him to continue his abuse,” Fletcher continues.

ESPN has contacted the federation and the Olympic Committee but has not received a specific response. “We are aware of the lawsuits filed,” said a spokesman for the former organization. In turn, a representative of the Committee declined to comment, but added that “we take any allegations of abuse very seriously.”
