The problems of the 23-year-old fan began around the 67th minute. One of his colleagues immediately climbed onto the railings and began to plead for help. Meanwhile, another supporter tried to help the man, but he fell to the ground and suffered a facial injury.

A few moments later, medics appeared in the stands of the stadium in Como, who immediately rushed to provide professional help to the hosts’ fan. As it turns out, he reported heart problems and had to be transported to the hospital because of a heart attack. The man was taken to the Sant’Anna clinic in a serious condition. An ambulance also came to the second fan who had problems with his face. However, his condition was not that serious.
There were also problems when the ambulance left the stadium. Apparently, one of the gates was closed, which prevented the vehicle from leaving. The club denied this and issued an official statement on the matter. “Como 1907 indicates that there were no problems at the stadium with the access or egress of both ambulances through the emergency exits, which were operated in accordance with the operational plan,” we read.
The match resumed after an approximately 25-minute break and ended in a two-goal loss for Como 1907.
