Conor McGregor to fight American Michael Chandler
Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor will fight American Michael Chandler. The name of the Irishman’s next opponent in his Twitter called the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White.
The fighters were called to the positions of coaches in the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 31. In the season finale, McGregor and Chandler should converge in the octagon. This will take place between May 30 and August 15. The exact date and time of the fight will be announced later.
Last October, McGregor said he plans to return to the octagon in early 2023. He stressed that he would be ready to start training camp in a couple of months.
McGregor last fought in the summer of 2021, losing to American Dustin Poirier by technical knockout. The Irishman suffered a broken leg, from which he is still recovering. In his professional career, he spent 28 fights, scoring 22 victories and suffering six defeats.
