French biathlete Simon Fourcade urged to allow the Russians to international tournaments
Former French biathlete Simon Fourcade called for the admission of Russian athletes to international competitions. It is reported by Metaratings.
The athlete noted that his opinion on this matter has never changed. He also added that at the moment, the most important thing he considers is the termination of the NWO in Ukraine.
On January 25, the IOC announced that it was considering the possibility of individual admission to competitions for Russian and Belarusian athletes. It was noted that athletes who did not support the conduct of a special operation in Ukraine and did not violate anti-doping rules will have a chance to get permission to compete in international tournaments.
At the end of February last year, many international sports organizations began to remove Russians from tournaments. In some disciplines, such as football, hockey, cross-country skiing and biathlon, athletes are completely suspended. In motorsport, cycling, tennis and chess, Russians can continue playing in a neutral status.
