The technician of Paris Saint Germain, Christophe Galtier, would have already defined the replacement for Kylian Mbappé during the period in which the striker is away due to injury. According to the French newspaper The Parisianthe name of the time is the young Hugo Ekitike, just 20 years old.
Mbappé injured his thigh last Wednesday, in PSG’s 3-1 victory over Montpellier, and should be absent from the Parisian team for at least 15 days. Thus, he must lose the first leg of the confrontation with Bayern Munchenthrough the round of 16 of the Champions Leaguescheduled for the 14th of February.
The star’s likely replacement, Ekitike, is seen as a French jewel and was signed by the club earlier this season from Reims for around 30 million euros (R$ 162.6 million). The boy has played in 17 games so far, having scored three goals and three assists.
The striker also collects call-ups for France’s youth teams and is known for his speed and dribbling quality, despite his height: 1.90m.
Before thinking about Bayern, however, Paris Saint-Germain turn their attention to French Championship. The team returns to the field this Saturday, at 1 pm, against Toulouse. In the duel, Galtier should give indications of who will replace Mbappé in the coming weeks.
PSG is the absolute leader of Ligue 1, with 51 points, and is looking this season to finally win the dreamed Champions League for the first time in its history.
