The game
The first 45 minutes were complicated for Brazil. The team struggled to create good opportunities and saw Venezuela play better. The Brazilians relied on good saves from goalkeeper Mycael. The best chance that the team had to score goals came just before the break, on the 46th minute, when Vitor Roque received a cross and headed for the goal, but stopped at the Venezuelan archer.
The scenario only changed in the complementary stage. Brazil came back better and started to pressure Venezuela more often. At 3 minutes, Vitor Roque received a beautiful low pass from Marlon Gomes in the back of the opposing defense. The striker of Athletico-PR played with class over the goalkeeper and opened the scoring.
With the advantage on the scoreboard, the Brazilians slowed down and started to defend themselves more. Venezuela started to scare with Kelsy, who was launched in the area and stretched to finish, but saw Mycael make another good defense.
The match was heading towards its final minutes when Brazil increased the scoreboard. André was launched on the right wing and, from the bottom line, he crossed back. Vitor Roque passed the ball, but managed to deflect it for Pedrinho to arrive. The Corinthians player hit the cross very hard and did not give the Venezuelan goalkeeper a chance to defend.
There was still time for Andrey Santos to score his. At 45 minutes, a lateral was charged into the area and the defense was unable to move away. The ball was left and the steering wheel hit the goal.
