What a comeback. Great Antetokounmpo. He single-handedly won the lost match

Fans at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee experienced an incredible comeback during the duel of the local Bucks team with the Los Angeles Clippers. The hosts were losing practically the whole match, and they fell apart at the beginning of the third quarter. The team from the eternal city had already taken the lead by 21 points and there was little reason to believe that they would lose this match.

The leader took the Bucks on his shoulders, and in the Clippers they failed

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks’ biggest star, refused to let that happen. It was mainly thanks to him that they managed to reach -9 before the decisive twelve minutes. The fourth quarter was already a real show of the Greek. He scored 20 points in it – more than the entire Clippers team (18)! Throughout the game, Antetokounmpo scored 54 points and recorded 19 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks won 106-105.

The ending was dramatic. With four minutes left, Kawhi Leonard hit a two-pointer and LAC had a six-point lead. Hardly anyone expected that this would be the last goal of the visitors in this match. First, Antetokounmpo made a 2+1 action, then hit a two-pointer, and took his team to a 106-105 lead with two accurate free throws.

The Clippers could not respond, even though there was still one minute and 47 seconds left on the scoreboard, which is a long time for basketball. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard – the leaders of the Los Angeles team – were mostly wrong. For the last four minutes of the game, the visitors did not hit the basket on target. The two mentioned missed quite a bit. In the entire game, they scored only 13 shots on 42 attempts.

Giannis Antetokounmpo confirmed his excellent form and another performance of at least 50 points led the hosts to their sixth win in a row, and 35 all season. Only the Boston Celtics (37) and the Denver Nuggets (36) have more. The Milwaukee Bucks are the 2021 NBA Champions. It was their second title at the time.
