A breakthrough for Sebastian Szymański? Feyenoord are to buy him from the Russian league

The Italian daily “Corriere dello Sport” reported that there may be a breakthrough regarding the future of Sebastian Szymański in Feyenoord Rotterdam. The leader of the Dutch league has until April 30 to buy the Pole for EUR 15 million and there are many indications that he will take advantage of this option. The Italians add that Feyenoord had to pay two million euros to Dynamo Moscow for the opportunity to loan Szymanski. It would be a 180-degree turn, because at the end of 2022, the Dutch media wrote that .

“Corriere dello Sport” adds that Atalanta Bergamo has been investigating the possibility of transferring Sebastian Szymański in recent weeks. The first rumors related to this direction appeared in November last year, when it became clear that the Italians would be looking for a successor to Ruslan Malinovsky. The Ukrainian representative moved to Olympique Marseille in January, so it is possible that the topic will return soon, and Feyenoord will be tempted to sell Sebastian Szymański with a large profit. “Szymański turned out to be an opportunity on the market. He is a player who makes a difference in Feyenoord,” writes “CdS”.

For Feyenoord Rotterdam to break its sales record, Sebastian Szymański would have to leave for over EUR 25 million. Currently, Arne Slot’s players will have to cope without the Polish midfielder, who suffered a knee injury in the last league match against FC Twente (1: 1). Szymański will remain out of the game for several weeks. Feyenoord are the Eredivisie leaders with 42 points and are two points clear of second-placed AZ Alkmaar and four points clear of third-placed PSV Eindhoven.
