Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko admitted that he is ready for a duel according to the rules of boxing against the former world champion Roy Jones Jr. TASS reports.
The 45-year-old heavyweight believes the fight should be revealing. “We will not fully invest in strikes,” noted Emelianenko.
He made a reservation that he does not have an exclusive contract with Bellator, which allows him to participate in the events of other organizations. The only condition is that such tournaments must be held only in Russia.
In his last fight, Emelianenko defeated American Timothy Johnson. The heavyweight took the lead in the first Bellator tournament in Russia on 23 October.
Jones, 52, completed active performances in 2018. In November 2020, he held an exhibition duel with another former world champion Mike Tyson.
