Paul Pogba may no longer play for Manchester United

Manchester United woke up this Wednesday with another news involving the possible departure of one of its players. This time the subject is Paul Pogba. The midfielder suffered an injury to the quadriceps of his right leg, during training for the French team, which could take him off the pitch for up to two months.

According to the newspaper The Sun, the injury, added to a cold negotiation for a contract renewal, could make Pogba no longer wear the red shirt.

The Frenchman’s bond with the Red Devils ends next European summer. With that, the athlete would be free to sign a pre-contract from January 2022. The press in the Old Continent points to Real Madrid as the probable destiny of the midfielder.

Pogba was the most expensive deal in the history of the Old Trafford giant. Costing 105 million euros (at the time, around R$ 370 million), the player landed in England after his great spell at Juventus, in Italy, and since then, he has fluctuated a lot.

The British newspaper treats Paul Pogba as “a failure since his return in August 2016” and says United are tired of the “circus around him”, as the team’s relationship with its manager, Mino Raiola, is not the best. . Paul Scholes, a great idol of the team, also criticized the 28-year-old athlete’s maturity.

In his two spells at the club, Pogba has had 219 games, 28 goals and 49 assists. It also has two English League Cup titles and one Europa League. In addition, he was world champion for France in 2018, when he already belonged to Manchester United.
