English club Bournemouth announced this Monday the arrival of Roma left-back Matías Viña, formerly of Palmeiras, on loan, with an option to buy. The Uruguayan athlete has an initial six-month bond with the English.

Matías Viña played for Verdão between 2020 and 2021. In all, the side took the field 70 times, with five goals scored.
During the period he was at Verdão, Viña won three titles. The 2020 Paulista Championship, still under the command of Vanderlei Luxemburgo, in addition to the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil of the same year. The latter with Abel Ferreira as coach.
The winger, who was with the Uruguayan national team at the Qatar World Cup, left the São Paulo team when he was sold to Roma, a club with which he has a contract until June 2026. For José Mourinho’s team, Viña played 44 games and contributed with two assists.
Bournemouth is in 18th place in the Premier League, with 17 points conquered. The next commitment of the new team from Viña is on Saturday, against Brighton, away from home, at 12:00 (Brasília time).
