Nottingham Forest is close to signing another Brazilian in this transfer window. The former defenderCorinthians Felipe, 33 years old, belongs to Madrid’s athletic and has not been used by Diego Simeone.
According to the British vehicle daily mailNottingham Forest is still looking to reinforce itself to reach its objective this season, which is to remain in the top flight of English Championship, and Felipe is close to being hired. For the transfer to be successful, conversations will have to be quick, as the window closes on Tuesday.

If the deal involving Felipe is completed, the defender will be the third Brazilian hired by Nottingham Forest in this transfer window and the fourth in the squad. Before him, the club bought midfielder Gustavo Scarpa and defensive midfielder Danilo, who played for palm trees.
The defender will also be reunited with an old teammate if he moves to Nottingham Forest: the Brazilian Renan Lodi. The full-back played alongside Felipe at Atlético de Madrid, but has been loaned to the Premier League club since August 2022.
Felipe was an absolute starter in his early years at Atlético de Madrid, but in 2022 he started to lose space. In the current season, the defender has only been on the field four times and was not included in five games of the Spanish Championship.
Before arriving in European football, Felipe played for Corinthians. The defender was loaned by Coimbra, from Minas Gerais, in 2012, and bought four years later. For Timão, the defender won the liberators it’s the Club World Cup and held most of the Brazilian championship 2015, won by the São Paulo club. In mid-2016, he transferred to Harbor. In 2019, he arrived at Atlético de Madrid.
