This Monday, on the penultimate day of the transfer window, Bayern Munchen signed with Manchester City the loan of lateral João Cancelo until June of this year. The information was provided by journalist David Ornstein, from the British vehicle The Athletic.

Despite being one of City’s main players in recent years, the Portuguese lost ground this season. Before being an absolute starter, Cancelo began to be passed over by Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis on the right side and by Nathan Aké on the left.
Because of this, Bayern started probing the 28-year-old athlete. The German team had been following Cancelo for some time, but only made one negotiation for the player now. The Bavarians are struggling in the defensive sector, with Mazraoui out injured and Pavard negotiating with Barcelona.
The expectation is that the full-back will be present in Munich in the coming days to make the signing official. João Cancelo participated in 26 matches for the club this season and still has a bond until 2027 with the English.
