Leicester City announces arrival on loan from Brazilian Tetê, ex-Grêmio

This Sunday, the Leicester City announced the signing of striker Tetê. The former player Guild arrives on loan until the end of the 2022/23 European season. The athlete will be the first Brazilian to defend the colors of the English club.

Revealed by Grêmio, Tetê went to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019. In Ukrainian football, there were 108 games, with 31 goals and 15 assists. As a result of the war, the athlete headed to Lyon, using Fifa’s prerogative that players playing in Russia and Ukraine can transfer to other countries due to the conflict.

In France, the striker played 30 games, scored eight times and served his teammate in ten opportunities. Newly signed from Leicester City, he is the 34th Brazilian at the moment in the Premier League.

In their next match, the English club faces Aston Villa, for the 21st round of the National League. The ball will roll at 12:00 (Brasília time), at Villa Park. At the moment, Brendan Rodgers’ men are in 14th place, with 18 points, one more than Bournemouth, the first club within the tournament’s relegation zone.
