Polish striker leaving the MLS club. They lost patience with him

Los Angeles FC became Major League Soccer champions last season, defeating Philadelphia Union in the final on penalties. New York Red Bulls with Patryk Klimala in the squad advanced to the playoffs, but were eliminated in the first round after a 1:2 defeat to Cincinnati FC. Thus, the New York club is still waiting to become national champions, and its best result is a second place in 2008, where it lost 1-3 to Columbus Crew. It seems that the New York club will fight for the next successes without Klimala.

Polish striker to leave MLS? New York Red Bulls break transfer record

The weszlo.com portal informs that Patryk Klimala may leave the New York Red Bulls after almost two years of playing in the United States. The Americans will soon announce the transfer of Dante Vanzeir from Belgian Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, which is expected to cost around 5.7 million euros. It will also break the NYRB transfer record – so far the MLS club has paid the most for the Paraguayan Kaku (5.5 million euros). Vanzeir has scored 12 goals and made two assists in 28 games this season.

“New York Red Bulls will not cause Klimala problems with leaving. The 24-year-old’s surroundings are intensively looking for a new club for him,” reports weszlo.com. Patryk Klimala finished last season of Major League Soccer with six goals and five assists in 33 games, but his performances left much to be desired. The Pole was rated better in the 2021 season, where he had eight goals and six assists in 30 matches. The contract of the Polish striker with New York Red Bulls is valid until the end of December 2024.

Patryk Klimala joined the New York Red Bulls in April 2021, leaving Celtic Glasgow for €4.3 million. Previously, the Polish forward played for Jagiellonia Białystok, Wigier Suwałki and the youth teams of Legia Warszawa and Lechia Dzierżoniów.
