Lautaro decides and Inter bats in Cremonese fora de casa pelo Italiano

This Saturday, the Inter Milan visited Cremonese – last placed in the competition -, at Giovanni Zini Stadium, in a match valid for the twentieth round of the Italian Championship. The match ended in a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

In the first 10 minutes of the match, Internazionale, having a superior team, took care of the offensive actions and possession of the ball. However, it was Cremonese who opened the scoring, with a beautiful goal by David Okereke, who received the ball and, from outside the area, hit a beautiful shot in the angle, with no chances for goalkeeper Onana.

After the goal, Cremonese even tried to apply pressure and circle Inter’s area in the attack, but the plan was short-lived and soon the visitors were back in charge of the offensive actions in the game. In the 22nd minute, the fragile defense of the home team was unable to clear the ball, which was left at the feet of scorer Lautaro Martínez and pushed into the net.

Inter kept pressing in search of the comeback, mainly with Lautaro and Dzeko, but ended up stopping with good defenses by goalkeeper Carnesecchi. The teams went into the break with a tie on the scoreboard.

The recipe was the same in the second stage, Inter did not stop putting pressure on the bottom of the championship, which was still looking for its first victory in the competition. At 19, Luataro Martínez had luck and a diversion from the opponent’s defense to score his second goal in the game and declare victory for Internzaionale.

With the victory, Inter, who face Atalanta for the Coppa Italia in their next commitment, provisionally overtook rival Milan and now occupies second place in the Italian Championship, with 40 points. As for Cremonese, who take on Roma in the middle of the week for the Coppa Italia, they still haven’t won in the competition and are bitterly in last place, with 8 points.

Empoli x Turin

In another Serie A round match, Empoli hosted Torino at the Carlo Castellani Stadium. The clash ended in a 2-2 tie, with the home team’s goals being scored by Sebastiano Luperto and Răzvan Marin, and the visitors’ by Samuele Ricci and Antonio Sanabria.

With the result, Empoli and Torino occupy, respectively, the tenth and eighth place of the competition, with more matches to be played in the round.
