According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the Santos turned down an offer from West Ham, England, for striker Marcos Leonardo.
Santos turned down West Ham’s proposal for Marcos Leonardo. The offer from the English team, made on 01/17, was:
€3m loan + €11m on purchase + €1m bonus per year if you play 60% of the games + 10% of the future sale
Peixe didn’t agree because he thought the obligation was difficult to achieve. pic.twitter.com/LmeaOeWZ7O

The proposal was a loan for 3 million euros (R$ 16.65 million), plus 11 million (R$ 61.05 million) in the purchase and a possible bonus of 1 million (R$ 5.55 million) per year, if the player participates in more than 60% of the team’s matches. In addition, Peixe would keep 10% of a future sale of Marcos Leonardo.
Santos declined the offer, as it believes that the obligation was difficult to achieve. Marcos Leonardo has a contract with the Santos team until 2026, with a termination fine set at 100 million euros (R$ 555 million).
For Peixe, the 19-year-old striker played 124 games, scored 34 goals and provided seven assists. In addition, Marcos Leonardo was essential for Santos in the fight against relegation in the last two seasons.
Just this week, Peixe received an offer, from Nottingham Forest, on loan for striker Ângelo, another great jewel of the team.
