On January 27, RBC, citing its source, confirmed the positive dynamics of Kostomarov’s condition and added that the recovery process would not be quick. Match TV clarified that the man is still connected to a ventilator.
On January 25, information appeared that Kostomarov had been diagnosed with a cardiac disorder. Cardiologists were deciding whether he could be cured with medication or whether surgery would be required.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. He was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B.
