Loes Adegeest (FDJ-SUEZ) won the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Race which was held on Saturday, January 28, starting and finishing in the Australian city of Geelong (140.8 km). This one-day test on the calendar Women’s UCI WorldTourIt has not been disputed for two years due to the pandemic.
the dutch Adegeest imposed the sprint on the Australian Amanda Spratt (Trek-Segafredo). Both runners managed to separate a few meters from a larger group of cyclists, among which were the main favourites, and fight among themselves for the victory that fell to Adegeest’s side with a time of 3 hours 52 minutes and 47 seconds.
The third place went to the also Dutch Nina Buijsman (Human Powered Health) 4 seconds behind the first two, giving time to a group of 14 runners.
