Study finds evening workouts increase muscle performance in women
Arizona State University scientists have named the best time of the day to exercise. The study is published in the journal Frontiers in Medicine.
The experiment showed that for women, morning workouts help to more effectively burn fat in the waist area and lower blood pressure. At the same time, evening sessions have a more favorable effect on increasing muscle performance in girls.
For men, evening exercise helps lower blood pressure and fatigue levels. However, in terms of improving physical fitness and endurance for men, there is no difference whether they go in for sports in the morning or in the afternoon.
Previously, scientists at the University of Sydney have shown that light physical activity, such as climbing stairs or outdoor games with children, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by an average of 50 percent, and cancer by 40 percent. It is clarified that three periods of activity per day lasting 1-2 minutes are enough for this.
