Jan Żuberek has been a youth player of Inter Milan since August 2021. Then he moved to this club from Spal for 130,000 euros. The 18-year-old has made 28 appearances for Inter’s Primavera so far, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
Jan Żuberek tore his cruciate ligaments
On Wednesday, Żuberek started in the first team of Primavera Inter in the clash for the Italian Super Cup against the youth team of Fiorentina. Unfortunately, the young player ended his participation in this meeting very quickly. Already in the 5th minute, when trying to land, his knee bent a lot and the player fell to the grass. It was immediately obvious that the injury was very serious, because Zuberek suffered a lot and started to cry. Two minutes later he was carried on a stretcher and replaced by Dennis Curatolo. You can watch the whole situation in the video below from 1:01:29.
On Friday, Inter provided the worst possible scenario about Zuberek’s health. It turned out that the player tore the anterior and collateral ligaments in his right knee. The club added that in the coming weeks the Pole will undergo surgery, after which he will have a long rehabilitation.

Shortly after Zuberek left, Fiorentina scored two goals. Lorenzo Amatucci and Tommaso Berti were among the scorers. In the second half, Inter responded with a goal from Enoch Owusu, but eventually lost the match 2-1.
Żuberek is also a youth representative of Poland. He has played three matches for the U-19 team so far, scoring three goals. All of them were scored in a friendly match against Malta (5:1). The young striker is the son of Dzidosław Żuberek, a former footballer of, among others, Jagiellonia Białystok.
