Sensational news from Germany. Grabara could become the hero of the hit transfer

During the break caused by the World Cup in Qatar, goalkeeper of Germany and Bayern Munich – Manuel Neuer suffered an injury while skiing. For this reason, the authorities of the German champions were forced to bring in a new goalkeeper to replace the 36-year-old. Finally, Yann Sommer went to Bayern, for whom the “Bavarians” fought for weeks.

Grabara could have gone to Bayern

In addition to Sommer, the wish list of the team from Munich included, among others, Yassine Bounou, Alexander Nubel and Dominik Livakovic. It turns out that the club authorities also considered the transfer of Kamil Grabara. In the “Bayern Insider” podcast, journalists from the German “Bild” – Christian Falk and Tobi Altschaefl revealed that the 24-year-old Polish representative could take the place of the injured Neuer, but eventually the aforementioned Sommer joined the team.

Despite this, the Pole is still interested in Bundesliga clubs and it is possible that the goalkeeper will go to German pitches in the summer.

In 2021, Kamil Grabara moved from the Liverpool U-23 team to Danish Copenhagen for the amount of EUR 3.5 million. Last season, the goalkeeper won the national championship with the team. The player’s contract expires on June 30, 2026, and his current market value is around EUR 5 million.

In the current season, the Pole, due to the injury, played only eight matches in the Superligaen, and his team is currently ranked 3rd.

The Polish goalkeeper is known for his comebacks and self-confidence. At the beginning of January, Matthew Ryan – a reserve goalkeeper with whom Grabara had many conflicts – left Copenhagen FC. Even before the World Cup, the Australian was dissatisfied with the fact that the international returned to the goal immediately after the injury and stated that the coach’s decision was political, not sporting. Then, at the World Cup, Ryan made a fatal mistake in the match against Argentina, which met with the immediate reaction of Kamil Grabara. “It must have been politics for sure,” he tweeted.
