On January 26, the Russian military launched a strike, including drones, on energy facilities that ensure the operation of defense industry and transport enterprises in Ukraine. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“On January 26, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive missile attack with long-range air and sea-based high-precision weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, at the facilities of the energy system that ensured the functioning of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex and the transport system of Ukraine,” the report says.
The goals of the strike were achieved, all objects were hit, they reported to the military department.
Ukrainian media began reporting explosions in some areas late on January 25. On Friday, the air raid alert was announced several times in the country. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Dnipro, Volnyansk in the Zaporozhye region, as well as in Kherson, air defense worked in the regions. Then, in the morning, explosions sounded in the Vinnitsa region and the Ukrainian capital.
Ukrenergo later reported damage to power equipment in the southern, central and southwestern parts of Ukraine.
