Russian Alexander Ovechkin’s goal helped Washington defeat Pittsburgh in an NHL game

The meeting ended in a shootout with a score of 3:2. The Russian striker Alexander Ovechkin helped the Moscow team to win, scoring an abandoned puck in regular time. Another domestic hockey player, Evgeny Kuznetsov, scored an assist and a realized bullet.
Ovechkin brought the total number of goals scored to 812. Thus, he reduced the gap on the Canadian Wayne Gretzky, who occupies the first place in the list of the best NHL scorers of all time, to 82 goals.
