Russian biathlete Larisa Kuklina spoke about her childhood in an orphanage. Her words are quoted by RT.
“I once felt very ashamed to reveal to someone that there was such a story in my life. But with age, I began to understand that this is a life that I should not be ashamed of, ”said the 32-year-old athlete. She added that she spent four years in the orphanage, after which her aunt took her into custody.
Kuklina is the champion of Russia. She also has the gold of the world championship among juniors and two victories at the world winter Universiade.
In 2019, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that he was 12 at the time and had no money. Therefore, he and his friends went to McDonald’s in the evenings and begged for leftover food from employees who never refused.
