CBF repudiates racist attack suffered by Vinicius Junior in Madrid

In a note, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) spoke out about the attacks racist and xenophobic attacks of Atlético de Madrid ultras against Vinicius Junior, of Real Madrid, held this Thursday, in Spain.

“The CBF vehemently repudiates the racist acts suffered once again by Vini Jr. Intolerance and discrimination are not part of sport and must be eliminated from society”, says the CBF statement.

The CBF also showed support for the 22-year-old player who had a doll with his shirt hanging from a bridge near the Real Madrid CT, simulating hanging. “May you always keep dancing, dribbling and, above all, with that smile on your face, Vini! We are with you”, concluded the CBF.

Before the CBF, Atlético de Madrid itself spoke about the act, which took place on the eve of the classic against Real Madrid, for the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey, this Thursday, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Real and La Liga also spoke out.
