Cristiano Ronaldo may leave Manchester United at the end of the season

Cristiano Ronaldo is not at all happy with the possibility of being out of the Champions League next season. According to the English newspaper Daily Express, the Portuguese can ask to leave Manchester United if the club does not qualify for the next edition of the Champions League.

The Portuguese has a contract with the team until 2023, but would be dissatisfied with playing in the Europa League, considered by him to be the second division of the continent.

Currently, the giant of Old Trafford is in the 6th position of the Premier League, with five wins, two draws and four defeats, with 17 points. If the championship ended today, United would not be in Europe’s premier club tournament in 2022/23.

This season, Cristiano played in 12 matches for the Red Devils, scoring nine goals and contributing an assist. The athlete has been vital in some games and decisive in the Champions League, a competition in which the player is the best scorer in history, with 139 goals.

Manchester United returns to the field on November 20, in an away game against Watford, at 12:00 (GMT).
