Radwañska and the legends had fun at the Australian Open. What an exchange [WIDEO]

Magda Linette is not the only Polish tennis player who still participates in the Australian Open. Agnieszka Radwańska also plays in the tournament of legends. However, unlike the women’s singles tournament, the competition of legends is all about having fun and a friendly spectacle, not about the result.

Fun in the tournament of legends at the Australian Open

In the mixed doubles, Agnieszka Radwańska played in tandem with Radek Stepanek, and on the other side of the net were Daniela Hantuchova and Tommy Haas. One of the exchanges lasted quite a long time and at one point only Haas and Radwańska were hitting spades between themselves. It went on and on, until finally… Stepanek decided to sit down on the court, having nothing better to do. Right behind him, Hantuchova sat down on the court. There was laughter in the background. Radwanska and Haas exchanged the ball for a while, until finally the tennis player played in the direction of Stepanek, who hit the net, then laughed. “Sitting down at work,” said the commentator. The whole match lasted 71 minutes and ended with Radwańska/Stepanek winning 6:4, 6:3.

With the score 5:4 for her and Hantuchova, the Polish woman served from the bottom. Standing far behind the end line, Stubbs had no chance to reach the ball, which fell just over the net.

Such a move is acceptable in tennis, but it is considered inelegant. Famous for him are the controversial Australian Nick Kyrgios or the Kazakh Aleksander Bublik. While they do not receive praise for it, Radwańska was not threatened with complaints. Startled, Stubbs rushed to the ball, throwing her racket on the way, and when she reached the net, she leaned against it and started laughing. The situation also amused everyone present at the match.

The tournament of legends will end on Thursday.
