Defender João Victor, ex-Corinthians, was announced this Wednesday as a new signing for Nantes, France. The player, who belongs to Benfica, arrives on loan until the end of this season, with no purchase option.
João Victor has been in the country since Tuesday, when he landed to undergo medical examinations and sign the contract.
“I’m very happy to be here, I’ll be able to evolve within a very good league. The team is involved in three competitions and there are big deadlines that will come very soon. I’m here to help the club achieve its goals and I’ll give everything from me,” he said.

Vice-champion of Portugal with Benfica, João Victor suffered from an injury and did not establish himself in the team, playing only three games, valid for the Portuguese Cup.
The defender is revealed by Corinthians and arrived at the club in 2017 to play in the Under-20 team. After being loaned to Inter de Limeira and Atlético-GO, the player was incorporated into the main squad in 2021.
In July last year, Alvinegro agreed to sell the player to Benfica for 8.5 million euros (R$ 47.2 million) for 55% of the economic rights, all that the club owned, and was left with 7 million euros (BRL 38.9 million).
