Juventus fans convicted in France of Nazi salute and racism

Two Italian fans were sentenced this Tuesday in Paris. One for giving a Nazi salute and another for imitating monkey gestures in the game between Paris Saint Germain and Juventus by Europe Champions Leaguein the Parc des Princes, on September 6 last year.

After the dissemination, on social networks, of videos in the sector of the stands reserved for Juve fans, four people were arrested after the match.

In the case of two of them, the process was archived, but the others had to appear before the correctional court of the French capital.

One of them was sentenced to pay a fine of 4,000 euros and banned from entering stadiums for two years for having given a Nazi salute in the direction of PSG fans.

The other, aged 19, was sentenced for racial injury to pay a fine of 1,500 euros, with suspended sentence, for having made gestures imitating a monkey.

Both were also ordered to pay a symbolic amount of 1 euro for damages and 800 euros in expenses with lawyers from the associations SOS Racisme and the International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism (Licra), civil parties involved in the process.
