– My parents live in the countryside. They have a house we built together. The land was taken by the state for a pension for my grandmother. I came to Warsaw to fight for my own. I’ve achieved a lot, but I’m not broken. Maybe it’s naive, but I believe in honesty. I am ambitious and greedy for life – he said in one of the interviews. He was a boy from a small town who managed to break through in the capital. Waldemar Goszcz was born on December 14, 1973 in Wolbórz, already as a teenager he performed in music and dance groups and participated in various sports competitions. After graduating from the Technical School of Mechanization of Agriculture in Wolbórz, he got into the Academy of Physical Education in Poznań, but he failed to reconcile his studies with his developing career in modeling.
Discovered on the street, he said there was a volcano in it
Goszcz was objectively handsome – tall, well built, with a mysterious look. He was discovered by the owner of a reputable modeling agency when he was just walking down the street. In 1993, at the age of 19, he won the prestigious title “Face of the Year”. And this face could often be seen not only on the catwalk, but also, for example, in the commercial of tissues, which was very often broadcast on television years ago.
Goszcz, who was also good at music, in 1997 became a member of the boy band Hi Street, which he founded together with Marek Sośnicki. A year later, their debut album was released.
After the breakup of the band, Goszcz tried his hand at solo – in November 2001 his album “Waldek Goszcz” appeared on the market. Then, for over a year, he could be seen in the main role in the Polsat soap opera “Adam i Ewa”. It was his first starring role and immediately a huge success. The story of the heroes, whose fate was followed by up to nine million viewers, began in a fairy tale – Adam Rozdrażewski (Waldemar Goszcz) accidentally lands a balloon on the roof of the car that Ewa Werner (Katarzyna Chrzanowska) borrowed from his sister. Over the course of two seasons, the series has gathered a group of loyal fans who fondly remember it to this day. And although many specialists critically assessed his acting game, he did everything to be taken seriously as an actor.
In one of the interviews, the actor said about himself:

Waldemar Goszcz died 20 years ago. “He lived fast and intensely”
On January 24, 2003, Goszcz was driving a car with actor Radosław Pazura and musician Filip Siejka. In the vicinity of Ostróda, while overtaking, the car collided with a car coming from the opposite direction. The host did not survive this accident. – Waldek was not a very good driver. As a rule, when we drove together, I was driving. But then it just so happened that he got behind the wheel. A few minutes before the accident, we agreed that I was going to change it right away, and that’s why I unbuckled my seatbelt. It saved my life because if I had been fastened I probably wouldn’t have survived. The car was crushed, recalled Siejka in an interview with Onet.
His serial partner Katarzyna Chrzanowska, after the accident, told the media that he died like his idol, James Dean:
He lived fast and intensely. I can’t get over it because I lost a great friend in him. I saw Gońek a week before his death. Then he cursed his car. He regretted ever buying it. He spent a lot of money on it, and recently he had no steady job. He had to work hard to pay the installments.
The actor orphaned a daughter, Wiktoria, born in 1997. Today, a woman today is a psychology graduate, wife and mother.
