Daily Mail: 6-minute intense workout improves brain function
British scientists have revealed the effect of training and sleep on brain function. The results of the study are published by the Daily Mail.
The study showed that an additional six-minute intense workout improves brain function and helps a person to better cope with cognitive processes. Scientists have found that exercise increases blood flow to the brain and increases oxygen levels, which has a positive effect on mental performance.
The study notes that replacing intense activity with light or inactivity, on the contrary, has a negative impact. People who opted for sleep instead of additional active exercise experienced a drop in cognitive function by one to two percent.
Earlier, fitness trainer Cecilia Harris said that seven-minute workouts are more effective than long-term work in the gym. She explained that short high-intensity sessions help to suppress hunger, as opposed to hour-long workouts, which cause it to spike.
