Danish club Vejle pull out of match against CSKA due to political pressure
The Danish football club Vejle refused to host a friendly match with CSKA Moscow. It is reported by “Championship”.
According to the source, the Danes made this decision due to political pressure on the team. The meeting was supposed to take place on February 4 in Turkey, where the Russian team is training. Now a friendly game of the army team against Shkupi from North Macedonia is scheduled for this date.
On January 20, it became known about Levski’s refusal to play with Ural. The Bulgarian club also did not play a match with another Russian Premier League team – Spartak Moscow. The Bulgarians noted that they made such a decision under pressure from the public and fans.
On February 28 last year, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations excluded Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. Domestic teams do not play in European competitions, and the Russian team has lost the opportunity to compete for reaching the finals of the 2022 World Cup.
